I know it is said over and over again, but taking that first step, even just visiting this site, is progress. You might not know where you are going or even if progress is possible and that is totally ok. I hope that together we can get to wherever you want to be.

My approach
I believe that my clients are the experts of themselves and their lives. I love to use humor, validation, and collaboration to create a warm and supportive environment. I am fully focused on you and building a relationship built on trust, validation, and understanding. I know therapy can be scary and full of unknowns but it doesn't have always have to be. I believe you are in charge of your therapeutic journey and my goal is to assist and cheer you on along the way.


About me
I grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and received my Bachelors of Arts degree at Earlham College in Indiana and my Masters in Social Work at the University of Washington in Seattle.

I have been in the mental health and social work field in a variety of capacities since 2011. I have experience working with adults, children, and adolescents in both outpatient counseling clinics and inpatient hospital settings. I have additionally worked with children, parents, adults, and families facing a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and identity formation.
​
Additionally, I am Japanese-American and have a strong understanding of Asian-American specific issues, as well as broader immigrant/minority experiences in the US.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW; license #: LW60945702) in the state of Washington.
Services
Individual Therapy
I love working with adults (20+) who are looking for support and an ally in whatever they are going through in life.

Sessions tend to be a conversation exploring how things are going in your life, what may need to change, and making sense out of difficult or complicated situations. We may spend time exploring skill-building exercises aimed at communication, emotion regulation, stress management, and other areas.

* I also offer telehealth appointments for clients in the state of Washington.
Supervision
I’m an experienced LICSW and Washington State Approved Supervisor and able to provide group or individual supervision for Social Work Licensure and other counseling licensures. Please reach out if you are interested or have any questions.

My current rate for a 50-53 minute individual session is $160.
Insurance
Telehealth Only
Private pay only at this time. $160 per session. Also have sliding scale. If you would like to use out-of-network insurance benefits, I am happy to provide a superbill. Please contact your insurance company directly to verify mental health benefits​
